Maintenance of Stainless Steel Reactor


1.0   Purpose  :  To provide a documented procedure for Planned Preventive Maintenance of
                           Stainless Steel SS316 Reactor.              
2.0  Objective :Preventive Maintenance of Stainless Steel SS316 Reactor.       
3.0   Scope   :This SOP is applicable for Planned Preventive Maintenance of Stainless Steel SS316 Reactor.
4.0  Responsibility  :
·        Primary: Technician Engineering
·        Secondary: Manager Engineering
5.0  Procedure  :
·         Safety Precaution:
Ø    Wear the necessary safety appliances during working.
Ø    Wear clean & tidy uniform.
Ø    Wear protective Goggles, hand gloves etc. as per work requirement.
Ø    Wear safety shoes and helmets.
·        Procedure and Schedule:

Checking and cleaning of Starter and electrical contacts and Repairing / Replacing them if necessary.

Gear Box.
Checking oil level in Gear box & filling if required.
Replacing the oil in the gear box if required

Motor
Greasing and oiling of Motor bearings and other mechanical parts.
6 Months

4.
Steam Traps & Safety Valves
Checking the steam traps and safety valves for proper functioning and repairing/replacing if required.

5.
Nut Bolts and other Fasteners.
Checking and tightening the Nut Bolts and other Fasteners for proper functioning and repairing/replacing if required.
3Months
6.
Manhole and flush bottom Gaskets.
Changing the Gaskets of Manhole and flush bottom or when required.
3Months
7.
Condenser
Condenser Cleaning and utility flexible pipes replacement. 
6Months

8.
V-Belt.
Checking the tightness of belt and replacing if required. 
6 Months

9.
Gland Packing.
PTFE packing in the glands.
3Months.


10.
DTI Calibration
Checking the efficiency and calibrating the Instrument
12Months

11.
Pressure Gauge
Checking the efficiency and calibrating the Instrument
12Months
