Raw material Weighing

1.0   Purpose  :  To lay down procedure for raw material weighing.

2.0   Objective  :   This procedure is applicable for raw material weighing.

3.0   Scope  :  Raw Material weighing in store.

5.0   Procedure    :

·              Check all the raw materials issued from store for approved labels.

·              Check all the raw materials as per raw material indent given.

·              Shift all raw materials to be weighing near to balance for weighing properly without any Spillage or losses.

·              Before starting weighing operation, check balance for calibration.

·              Take first levels of balance platform by putting liquid level on balance from all sides.

·              Check calibration with required weights as per balance calibration SOP.

·                Start weighing of raw materials solids, take gross weights and note down the weight.

·              After charging this raw materials into the reactor take tare weights of poly bags and drums.

·              Cross check gross weight, tare, weight and net weight of raw materials as per labels pasted on drums or containers, bags.

·          All these gross weights, tare weights and net weights should match with labels.

·        For any of error reading shown by balance rectify the problems by raising job order for the same to the maintenance department.

·          Enter this raw materials weighing activity in balance usage log if available.
